Web Application Firewall for Travel Insurance Company

Wizard Cyber partnered with a travel insurance company that provides a wide range of travel insurance products under various different brand names. The customer year on year was getting asked harder cybersecurity-related questions by some of the large insurance and travel companies. The customer provides websites, frontends and API access to their systems for quoting and generating insurance policies.

Challenge

The customer approached us regarding our managed firewall service but after listening to the customer’s problems we quickly identified that our managed WAF service would be a better fit for their 28 travel insurance sites and portals. The customer was becoming concerned with the number of questions and forms that needed to be filled in about their service and platform.

Solution

After initially discussing the customers business, their concerns and the regulation and compliance they were trying to meet we presented our Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution which is built on Microsoft Azure architecture.

After explaining and showcasing that we can protect their applications and API from the OWASP top 10, provide DDoS protection, vulnerability assessments and provide the configuration, monitoring and migration all for a fixed monthly fee.

Results

We migrated all 28 sites over a 48 hour period and they were instantly relieved that they could meet the requirements of their customers but also knowing that their portals and now secure and being monitored. We had them on a 14 day training period where we closely monitored and fine-tuned the WAF to their applications to ensure smooth operation and security.
